Najam Sethi said thathe has fulfilled his promise and PCB is doing hard work with great honesty

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi on Monday said that he has fulfilled his promise about bringing cricket back to Pakistan, reported Dunya News.

He was addressing a press conference in the lead up to the World XI tour. He said that his happiness is connected with the happiness of the people of Pakistan. "If they are happy, I am also happy," he said.

“If the World XI series goes by safely, teams from Sri Lanka and West Indies will also come to Pakistan,” he said. Sethi said that PCB has done hard work with great honesty in the past couple of years to ensure the restoration of cricket in the country.

Sethi said that once this series is safely held, Pakistan will be able to host Sri Lanka and West Indies as well. "Then we will be in a position to invite South Africa to play in the country," he said.  
PCB chairman further said Imran Khan, Javed Miandad and other former cricketers were invited to watch the World XI series.

“Some people have replied, while others haven’t as yet,” he said. He said that he is tired and has fever, however, when Pakistan wins tomorrow he will be alright. The first match of the World XI series will be played on Tuesday.

Earlier, in the small hours of Monday, the World XI team arrived at the Allama Iqbal Airport, Lahore. They were escorted in tight security to their hotel on Mall road.
