DHAKA (AFP) – Bangladesh were 205-8 at tea on the third day of the first Test against Australia at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday.

Opener Tamim Iqbal scored a fine 78 to help the hosts stretch their overall lead to 248 runs.

Mehedi Hasan was batting on 17 with Shafiul Islam on two at the break.

Off-spinner Nathan Lyon claimed four quick wickets to halt Bangladesh’s progress after Tamim was dismissed off Pat Cummins.
