Afridi backs Nawaz, asks Imran to wait
An Urdu daily reported that Afridi said PM Nawaz is sincere with Pakistan
(Web Desk) – Cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi has voiced his support for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to wait until his turn.
According to Nawa-i-Waqt, Boom Boom said, “Nawaz Sharif is sincere with the country. Imran Khan likes the pace of T20 cricket, but he can reach his desired destination if he waits.”
PM Nawaz is a businessman who wants to carry on with his interests, Imran Khan should first perform in the province where PTI formed government (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), he said. He shared how Imran can reach towards the premiership. The all-rounder said that the local people will start to believe in Imran Khan’s leadership as soon as there is an improvement in the performance of KP govt.
On the other hand, when asked about Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), he said the party had ended with the demise of Benazir Bhutto who loved the country, and nobody could have any doubt about that.
