Dawid Malan played PSL final in Lahore despite mother's concerns

Malan said that he had signed a disclaimer with the board

(Web Desk) – Dawid Malan played the final match of Pakistan Super League 2017 in Lahore despite his mother’s concerns.

In an interview with an international media outlet, Malan said that his mother expressed her concerns and did not want him to go to Pakistan however, he was satisfied with the security arrangements and the fact that 22,000 cricket fans had showed up in Gaddafi Stadium.

Malan said that he had made up his mind to arrive in Pakistan ever since he learnt about the special security arrangements.

He along with a fellow English cricketer, Chris Jordan were the only to players associated with English Cricket Board who landed in Pakistan for the final match.

Malan said that he had signed a disclaimer with the board in case an untoward incident happened.

A handful of foreign players arrived in Lahore including Darren Sammy besides Chris Jordan and Malan for the final clash of second installment of PSL earlier this month.
