Received green signal for legal action against BCCI: Najam Sethi
Have many plans for Afridi, Misbah will also be offered a post in PCB upon retirement, says Sethi
LAHORE: (Daily Dunya) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Najam Sethi has on Sunday said that green signal has been received for legal action against Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI). He added that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had many plans for former captain Shahid Afridi and the current captain Misbah ul-Haq will also be offered a post at the board upon retirement, reported Daily Dunya.
According to details, Sethi said that PCB had received the green signal for legal action against BCCI but he hoped that Pak-India series would be held without going to that extent.
Sethi said that Afridi should come to have tea and media should play its role in this regard. He said that he had many plans for Shahid Afridi.
Denying the impression that PCB chairman Shehryar Khan was just a figurehead, Sethi said that all the important decisions were taken by the chairman.
He said that organising the women’s team was an important matter. He said that it was easy to find boys from club cricket but there were no clubs for the women, while there were some cultural constraints as well. He added that women’s team might be sent to Kakul to Pakistan army for fitness training.
Najam Sethi said that Misbah was an asset for cricket and he’d be offered a position at PCB upon retirement.
