Afridi's fan arrested in India
FIR was registered against Ripon Chowdhury for wearing green shirt of Pakistani team during match
ASSAM (Daily Dunya) – A spectator named Ripon Chowdhury, apparently a fan of Shahid Khan Afridi, was arrested by police during a cricket match on Monday.
According to media reports, the guy was wearing a green shirt of Pakistani cricket team in love for Afridi. Police arrested the Afridi’s fan on charges of wearing the green kit of Pakistan.

Furthermore, the arrest was made after complaint by the Youth Wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
An FIR was also registered under the under section 120 (B), 294 of the Indian Penal Code which forbids any national to conduct in such behavior.
The Youth Wing members complained that the young fan had committed treason with the country by wearing green shirt in support for Afridi. The FIR registration was carried out under these charges.
It must be noted here that earlier this year, a fan of Virat Kohli named Umer Daraz was arrested from Pakistan. Reports suggest that Kohli’s fan had hoisted Indian flag on the roof of his house.
