Resolution to remove Afridi as captain moved in Punjab Assembly
Separate resolutions moved catering to Afridi's removal and restructuring of PCB
LAHORE (Web Desk) – A resolution was moved on Monday in the Punjab Assembly by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) representative Mian Tahir Jameel regarding the removal of current T20 captain of the Pakistani cricket team, Shahid Afridi, and substituting him with a more suitable skipper who guides the team to the path of success, reported Dunya News.
Leader of Oppostion in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed also moved a resolution in regards to the restructuring of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The resolution also deals with removal of those individuals who have been appointed in the very institution on the basis of personal likings.
The resolution also mentioned that assistance needs to be sought from former players to improve the standards of the team.
