Pakistani High Commissioner meets cricket team in Kolkata
Basit says entire nation backs team; delivered PMs message
KOLKATA (Dunya News) – Pakistani High Commissioner in India Abdul Basit on Friday met with the players of the national cricket team in Kolkata to boost their spirit prior to the crucial encounter against archrivals India tomorrow (March 19), reported Dunya News.
He also delivered Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s special message to the players. He stated that the entire Pakistani nation is backing the team for this all-important match. He lauded the team’s recent performance against Bangladesh in their opening match.
Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi stated that the team’s position is utmost stable and it has the capability to perform in all fields of the game.
