Usman Anwar further said that he would like to see further sports events take place in the country

LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – Director General (DG) Sports Punjab said on Saturday that the revival of international cricket after a hiatus of 6 years bodes well for sports in country, reported Daily Dunya.

Talking to media at National Hockey Stadium, DG Sports Usman Anwar said that it is the unrelenting effort of Punjab Government and Sports Board Punjab that international cricket has been revived in the country.

DG sports Usman Anwar said that holding an international sports festival in the country will cause influx of international cricket to the country.

Talking about security measures for the Zimbabwean team, he said that fool proof measures have been taken to ensure their safety.

DG Sports said that the revival of international cricket marks a significant event in the development of cricket in the country.

He said that entire world had seen Pakistan’s passion for sports after witnessing the crowd during the match adding that Pakistan is a sports loving nation.
