Bangladesh gets its first-ever series win over Pakistan

DHAKA: (AFP, AP) - Bangladesh won their first ever one-day series against Pakistan with a seven-wicket victory in Dhaka on Sunday that gave the hosts a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Chasing Pakistan s 239 for six, Bangladesh rode on Tamim Iqbal s unbeaten 116 to cruise home in the 39th over at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium.
Bangladesh had won the first match by 79 runs at the same venue on Friday. The third and final match will also be played in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Opener Tamim Iqbal struck his second consecutive century as Bangladesh clinched the series with a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the second one-day international on Sunday.
Bangladesh leads the three-match series 2-0.
Tamim followed up his 132 with an unbeaten 116 to steer Bangladesh to 240-3 off 38.1 overs in reply to Pakistan s 239-6.
Mushfiqur Rahim (65) added 118 runs for the third wicket with Tamim.
Earlier Saad Nasim and Wahab Riaz both struck half centuries to lift Pakistan to what it hoped was a fighting total from a precarious 77-5.
Nasim made 77 not out, hitting six fours and one six, while Riaz was undefeated on 51 with five fours and two sixes.
