Pakistan captain has announced that he will retire from ODI cricket after World Cup

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan captain Misbahul Haq has said that he will retire from One-Day International (ODI) cricket after captaining the national side in the World Cup 2015. According to news agency, Misbahul Haq has decided to retire from ODI cricket after World Cup 2015 but will continue to play Test cricket.

It is pertinent to mention here that Misbah has captained Pakistan in 78 ODIs so far. He debuted against New Zealanad on April 27, 2002. He played 153 ODIs and scored 4669 runs at an average of 42.83 but hasn’t ever scored a century in this format of the game. His highest score was 96 (not out) against West Indies.

Star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has already announced to retire from ODIs after World Cup 2015.

World Cup 2015 will start from February 15 and will be played in Australia and New Zealand.
