National T20 captain said that senior cricketers are not allowed to retire with grace in Pakistan

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – National Twenty-20 captain Shahid Khan Afridi has said that there is no Bradman in the team who can perform well on regular basis. He said that senior cricketers are not allowed to retire in Pakistan with grace. “We don’t have a tradition to see off our senior players with respect”, said Afridi. He urged Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to talk to former captain Younis Khan.

Talking to media at Gaddafi Stadiqum Lahore, Shahid Afridi said that captaincy is a huge responsibility and he is doing his best to fulfill this responsibility. He said that the team was missing Saeed Ajmal and prays that he returns to the team as soon as possible. However, he said, other national spinners are also really good.

Answering a question regarding Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi said that Younis Khan should inform the PCB about his future plan. He said that Pakistan does not have a tradition of seeing off its great players with respect.
