Media had earlier reported that 38-year-old cricketer is due to marry a 17-year-old.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar on Saturday dismissed media report about him getting married to a 17-year-old girl, Dunya Web Desk has learnt.
Akhtar rejected the rumor while expressing his outrage on the social networking site Twitter.
"I would like to confirm that I m not getting married to 17 year old girl, there is absolutely no truth in the story being reported..(Contd.)” he tweeted in the first part of his tweets.
“...If not me,atleast respect the girl! Totally False” he continued in the next tweet.
Urging reporters to be responsible, the fast bowler also celebrated as the ‘Rawalpindi express’ tweeted:
“Wishes are always welcome BUT NOT for some crap rumour...My journalist friends,I expect sensible reporting and not rumour spreading. Thanks!”
Reportedly, some media citing Shoaib Akhtar’s ‘family members’ reported that the 38-year-old cricketer is due to marry a 17-year-old daughter of a businessman.
The twitter account that posted those tweets is not verified by Twitter but is included in ESPNcricinfo’s ‘Cricket on Twitter’ list and is quoted by all the media.
