Investigating officer seeks cancellation of Umar Akmal's driving license
A committee comprising senior officials has been formed to assess the petition.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Investigating Officer Imdad Hussain filed a petition to Chief Traffic Officer Sohail Chaudhry seeking cancellation of cricketer Umar Akmal’s driving license.
In the petition, the Investigating Officer stated that Umar Akmal seems to be unable to obey the traffic laws while driving and considers himself above the law. Following the petition, CTO Lahore has formed a committee under supervision of senior officials who will decide on the matter of cancellation of license and of retaking of driving test.
Cricketer Umar Akmal was arrested by the on February 1st for allegedly brawling and manhandling traffic warden. Akmal had denied all charges and was subsequently released on bail with a pending trial.
