Imran to launch talent hunt program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, says talented players would be trained.

 PESHAWAR (Online) - Pakistan Peace XI defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa XI by five wickets in a peace cricket match that was played here on Sunday.

A huge crowd gathered here to see the first match that was played in the Arbab Niaz Stadium at Peshawar in last seven years.

Famous Cricketer of Pakistan and KP Shahid Afridi scored 66 runs from 19 balls. The crowd loved him and his performance.

Other famous players of Pakistan Cricket, including Imran Nazir, Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Akhtar, Inzimamul Haq,
Mohammad Yousuf, Salim Malik and Abdul Qadir also took part in the match.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and other high profile figures from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and the ruling party attended the match in Arbab Niaz Stadium.

Salim Malik made quick half century while Afridi and Razzaq took two wickets each.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that a talent hunt program would be launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province and talented players would be selected for further training.

The PTI chief made the announcement while speaking at Arbab Niaz Stadium here.

Khan announced that a major cricket stadium would be built in every Tehsil of KP to promote sports in the militancy-hit province.

Earlier, thousands of jubilant fans thronged the stadium to watch a historic peace match between Pakistan XI and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa XI.

The former and current cricket greats, including Inzmam ul Haq, Muhammad Yousaf, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Qadir, Salim Malik, Ijaz Ahmed, Umar Gul and others took part in the match.
