England wins toss, fields 1st vs South Africa

LONDON (AP) - England has won the toss and chosen to field first in the first Champions Trophy semifinal against South Africa at the Oval on Wednesday.

 

England will be without the injured spinner Graeme Swann and Tim Bresnan, who has left the team to be with his pregnant wife. The duo is replaced by James Tredwell and Steven Finn.

 

For South Africa, Dale Steyn failed a late fitness test and will be replaced by Rory Kleinveldt.
