HARARE (AFP) - Zimbabwe eased to a 335 run win in the first Test with Bangladesh on Saturday on the fourth day.

The hosts largely had captain Brendan Taylor to thank as his second century of the match, ending 102 not out, ensured the tourists faced a daunting target of 483 to chase.

Taylor s feat was only the third time a Zimbabwean batsman had scored centuries in a test match.

The Flower brothers Andy and Gary being the previous two to do so.

Brendan Taylor became just the third Zimbabwean batsmen to score centuries in both innings of a Test match before his side moved to within four wickets of a resounding victory over Bangladesh in the first Test at Harare Sports Club.

Set an unlikely 483 runs to win the match after Taylor had reached his landmark early on day four, Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals and went to tea on 136 for six.

Kyle Jarvis did most of the damage with the ball, bowling Shahriar Nafees and having both Mahmudullah and Shakib Al Hasan caught.

Shingirai Masakadza and Elton Chigumbura picked up a wicket apiece, while top scorer Mohammad Ashraful was run out in bizarre fashion for 40 just moments before the tea break to leave Bangladesh facing a heavy defeat.

Zimbabwe declared once Taylor had reached the landmark half an hour into day four to set Bangladesh an unlikely 483 runs to win, before Kyle Jarvis and Shingirai Masakadza reduced Bangladesh to 42 for two at lunch.

Only brothers Andy and Grant Flower had previously managed twin tons in the same Test for Zimbabwe, while Taylor is the first Zimbabwean captain to achieve the feat.
