Pakistani crickets have decided to take the issue of their ban in foreign court for appeal.

LAHORE: Pakistani skipper Salman Butt and fast bowler Mohammad Asif have left for Switzerland to appeal against bans imposed on them by the International Cricket Council (ICC) two years ago in spot-fixing scandal.

ICC banned the two players for contriving to bowl deliberate no-balls during the Lord’s Test between Pakistan and England in August 2010.

While Asif s appeal against his conviction and five-year sentence will be heard at the Court of Arbitration for Sports in Lausanne on Thursday, Butt s hearing will come up the following day.

The third cricketer in the case was Muhammad Amir who was suspended for five years.

Speaking to newsmen at Lahore airport, Butt bemoaned noncooperation for PCB, however he was hopeful for his return.
