Women World Cup: Pakistan face Australia today

Pakistan will start its Women World Cup campaign today with a match against Australia.

 

Pakistan will take on Australia in their opening match of Women World Cup today. Pakistan-Australia match will start at 8:30am at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, a city of Indian state of Odisha.

 

Pakistan women team captain, Sana Mir, is very optimistic about her team’s success in today’s match after winning the opening warm-up match and good showing of her players.

 

Earlier on Thursday, hosts India registered a big 105 run victory over West Indies in the inaugural match of the tournament. Batting first India piled up 284 runs. Opener Thirush Kamini scored a century.

 

In reply, West Indies were bundled out for 179 runs in 45 overs.
