English cricket is searching for a new shirt sponsor for its national teams.
Brit Insurance has said it would not renew its contract beyond 2014.The insurance company became Englands sponsor in 2010 on a four-year deal, in which time the team rose to the top of the test and one-day rankings and won the World Twenty20 tournament.The England and Wales Cricket Board said Monday that the Brit Group decided to end the deal after undergoing a fundamental structural and strategic change in its business with its interests being more global in nature.The contract will run out after the Ashes series against Australia in 2013-14.John Perera, commercial director for the ECB, says our search for a new sponsor will begin immediately and we anticipate significant interest.
