KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened on a positive note on Tuesday, showing strong upward momentum at the start of trading.

During early business hours, the benchmark KSE-100 Index surged by more than 1,800 points, reaching the level of 173,999 points. This comes after the previous trading session ended on a negative note, with the index closing at 172,196 points, down by 1,742 points.

Meanwhile, a mixed trend was observed across Asian markets. South Korea’s KOSPI Index rose by 2.3%, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 1.28%. Malaysia’s FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI also increased by 1.05%.

Additionally, markets in Hong Kong and Thailand recorded slight gains. However, Indonesia’s Jakarta Composite Index declined by 0.52%, and China’s Shanghai Composite Index slipped by 0.24%, reflecting a mixed performance across the region.
