ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - In a major decision on Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Ministry of Finance to cut the price of petrol by Rs 15.4 per liter and that of diesel by Rs 7.9 per liter.
The government’s pro-people policies have led to a notable decline in inflation and a stabilization of the economy, the prime minister said in a statement released by the PM Office.
The Ministry of Finance will notify the new prices of petroleum products and they will come to effect from 12 o'clock tonight.
This decision aims to reduce the financial burden on citizens and stabilise the economy. Prime Minister Sharif highlighted that these measures demonstrate the government's commitment to implementing policies that benefit the public.
The price reductions are part of efforts to combat inflation and ensure economic stability.
