The increasing tensions between the two allies in war on terror hit the Karachi Stock Exchange hard. Both local and foreign investors began off-loading the shares at the opening of the session on Monday. The KSE-100 index closed the day at 11,265 points with 341 points loss. The shares of fertilizer, chemical and banking sectors remain under pressure in particular.
