The price hike will not be implemented on K-electric consumers
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved 46 paisa per unit hike on electricity under the bi-annual adjustments.
The increase will the consumer with additional Rs15.45bn, the additional amount will be collected in Apr-Jun. K-electric consumers will be exempted from the increase.
Moreover, electricity generation by expensive furnace oil to cover the electricity crisis is expected to further add into the miseries of public due to its expensive generation cost. The burden of expensive electricity generation is expected to be levied in form of fuel charges adjustment.
