Trade deficit surges by 20pc

Pakistan trade deficit has gone up by 20 percent.

According to Federal Bureau of Statistics, during the first two months of the current fiscal year, $3.32 billion trade deficit has been recorded. Pakistan export volume remained at $4.16 billion during the two months, while import volume remained at $7.49 billion. Trade deficit during the same period of the last year was $2.78 billion.
