783 kilometers track with 80 tunnels will cost more than $8 billion, report
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Uzbekistan has shared the feasibility report of Pak-Afghan-Uzbek rail car project with Pakistan.
According to the report 783 kilometers of railway track will be laid from Mazar Sharif to Torkham under the project while the the track cost will be more than $8 billion in which 80 tunnels of 148 kilometers will be set up.
According to the feasibility report the railway track consisting of the tunnel will cost $4 million per kilometer, the track from Mazar Sharif to Torkham will be completely electric. Pakistan will be connected to Central Asia with the completion of the project.
