FBR collected Rs3,428bn in six months of FY23

According to FBR statement tax income increased by 17 percent.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected a tax of Rs3,428 billion in the first two quarters (six months) of the current fiscal year.


The tax income of FBR has increased by 17 percent compared with the previous year, according to the statement of the FBR.

The tax collected in December 2022 alone was Rs740 billion while tax amount of Rs149 billion was collected in December 2021.

A tax refund of Rs176 billion was given in the first six months of the ongoing fiscal year compared with the tax refund of Rs149 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
