Ishaq Dar shows concerns over non-recovery of Rs447bn GIDC
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday showed his resentment over outstanding amount of Rs447 billion under the Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC).
The finance minister was presiding over a meeting in the federal capital.
The meeting was informed that the Cess had yet to be recovered from various entities. The meeting participants also discussed GIDC Acts and Supreme Court’s order in this regard.
The minister was told that as many 3,194 petitions were lying in various court of laws.
The finance minister expressed the government s resolve to recover each penny from the defaulters on account of the GIDC.
