Transporters likely to raise fares after increase in petrol prices

The government increased petrol prices by Rs24.03 per liter from June 16.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The current increases in fuel prices third time in last 20 days has hit public transport fares again and the transporters are likely to increase the fares by 35 percent without an official fare list.
In Rawalpindi the fares are likely to increase from 2000 to 2250, in Faisalabad from 1050 to 1250 and in Sargodha from 950 to 1100.
Peshawar s fares are likely to increase from 2300 to 2500 while the fares increase for Murree is likely to increase 2300 to 2450.
Similarly, the fares in Khaniwal are likely to increase from 1500 to 1650, in KArachi from 4300 to 4800 and in Sadiqabad the fares are likely to be increased from 2400 to 2700.
The government increased petrol prices by Rs24.03 per liter from June 16.
After the increase in prices, new petrol price are Rs235.79 per liter while diesel selling at Rs263.31 per liter after an increase of Rs59 per liter, while kerosene oil is selling for Rs211.43, and the price of light diesel oil is Rs207.47.
