PPL says gas discovered at well in Sindh
PPL holds a 33.30% working interest in the well
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced a gas discovery from an exploratory well in the Latif Block situated in Sindh.
According to statement issued by PPL, the well was drilled to a depth of 11,350 feet and is expected to produce 13.7 MMscfd (million standard cubic feet per day) of gas.
PPL holds a 33.30% working interest while Eni Pakistan Limited holds 33.30 percent in the well.
As per experts, the discovery will contribute to improving the energy security of the country from indigenous resources.
