ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prices of petroleum products may go up by Rs2.50 from August 15, as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the Finance Minister on Saturday.

The authority has recommended an increase in the price of petrol by 50 paisa and an increase in the price of high speed diesel by Rs 2.50 per litre.

The OGRA has also proposed raising Rs1 per litre on light diesel oil, Kerosene oil Rs 1.

Sources said that the final decision will be taken by the finance ministry after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The new prices will be applicable from 12 noon tomorrow. A summary of the increase in prices has been prepared in accordance with the existing petroleum levy.
