Rupee falls by 14 paisa against USD
The greenback closed at Rs154.54.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar increased by 14 paisa in the interbank on Tuesday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs154.54 on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of 154.40.
The greenback has lost 13.89 rupees or 8.60 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the price of euro appreciated by 62 paisa and closed at Rs188.95 against the last working day’s trading of Rs188.33, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.41, whereas an increase of 34 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs219.15 as compared to its last closing of Rs218.81.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by about 3 paisa each to close at Rs42.07 and Rs41.21 respectively.
