Rupee falls by 22 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs153.46

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar increased by 22 paisa in the interbank on Thursday against Pakistani rupee.

The greenback closed at Rs153.46 on fourth business day of the week compared to previous closing of 153.24.

The greenback has lost 14.97 rupees or 9.3 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.

Meanwhile, the price of euro appreciated by 78 paisa and closed at Rs184.85 against the last working day’s trading of Rs184.07, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.42, whereas an increase of 22 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs213.91 as compared to its last closing of Rs213.69.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 6 paisa each to close at Rs41.78 and Rs40.92 respectively.
