Prize bonds worth Rs 34b issued

The central bank has issued prize bonds worth Rs 34 billion during the current fiscal year.

According to figures released by the State Bank of Pakistan, the government has collected Rs 2.08 trillion from saving schemes, while 16 percent of the amount has been collected from bonds sale during the eleven months. At the end of May, prize bonds worth Rs 2.70 trillion had been issued. The money collected by prize bonds amounting to 5 percent of country’s loan.
