Dollar falls below Rs 160 mark in interbank market.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Unite States dollar slipped below Rs 160 mark in the interbank market on Monday and reached the value at which it was traded on March 24, Dunya News reported.

The greenback declined by 26 paisa on the first business day of the week and closed at Rs 159.91. The US dollar had touched its peak of Rs 167.89 on April 7 and the rupee has appreciated by Rs 7.98 since.

It is pertinent here to mention that reduction in the US dollar against the Pakistani rupee will provide debt relief around Rs 950 billion to the federal government.
