KSE remains bearish this week

Karachi stock market remained bearish on the whole this week. KSE-100 index declined by 1.5 percent.

The week started bearish amid news of the killing of Osama Bin Laden. Later, the rumors of suspension of aid to Pakistan from the United States and the IMF’s announcement to postpone talks with Pakistan did not allow the market situation get better.However, the Moody’s announcement to maintain Pakistan’s credit rating at the current level helped lift the market a little bit.At the end of the week, the KSE-100 index declined by 178 points and closed at 11880 points. The trade volume decreased by 35 percent as compared to last week and remained just 338.8 million shares.
