Power tariff up by Rs 1.17 to 1.28 per unit

The NAPRA has allowed to power producer companies to increase power tariff.

The companies have increased power tariff by Rs 1.17 to Rs 1.28 per unit. According to a notification, issued by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the power tariffs of Guddu Power Company, Northern Power Company and Gulf Power Plant have been surged by Rs.78, Rs 1.15 and Rs 1.28 per unit respectively. The production tariff of the company has fixed at Rs 14.17 per unit for Feb. The fresh hike was due to surge in oil prices, according to NEPRA.
