Government borrowing from SBP surges by 52pc

Government�s borrowing during July 2017 to April 2018 amounted to Rs 1,316 billion
(Web Desk) – The government’s borrowing from the State Bank of Pakistan has surged by 52 percent in 10 months.
According to details, the government’s borrowing during July 2017 to April 2018 amounted to Rs 1,316 billion as compared to Rs 864 billion during July 2016 to April 2017.
Private sector borrowing during the period falls four percent. Credit to private sector amounted to Rs 498 billion rupees during July to April period as compared to Rs 517 billion during the same period in the preceding year.
