Cabinet approves Budget Strategy Papers for 2018-19
PM calls for boosting national revenue collection to avoid loans.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday gave approval of Budget Strategy Papers for the fiscal year 2018-19.
The meeting was held in Islamabad with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in chair.
During the meeting, the Finance Secretary while apprising the cabinet regarding budget said that there are four targets of the budget for fiscal year 2018-19 sustainable development, overcoming deficit, balance of payments and stability of loans.
Reduction in tax, scope of growth, real estate reforms, local amnesty and currency exchange rate will be made effective in the budget.
These step would be included in recently announced economic reforms package which would likely to increase income and decrease losses.
Speaking on the ocassion, PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that lasting peace and investment will help get rid of debt.
