Nonpayment of dues: PSO cuts 50pc fuel supply to PIA

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has cut 50% fuel supply to PIA due to nonpayment of Rs. 1.2 billion dues, Dunya News reported.

According to PSO sources, PIA is supplied with 5 to 6 lakh liters of fuel on daily basis while PIA has to pay RS. 1.2 billion, due to which, decision of cut in fuel supply has been taken. The decision effects from today at 12am.The sources further disclosed that PSO has supplied fuel to different departments on domestic level which amounts RS 161 million while RS 135 million arrears has crossed the target of its due date of payment.PSO is facing financial difficulties due to delay in payments, the sources concluded.
