Cuba organised a week long Cigar festival in which the Cuban government earned more than 1 million dollars.

High rollers from across the globe lit up throughout the evening deciding which might be their favorite Cuban cigar before bidding on one-of-a-kind humidors made for the occasion. The black tie dinner is the finishing touch to a fantastic week that this week dedicated to the Cigar Festival has been and we hope that, as we have done in years past, to go beyond the expectations of friends and clients who are here tonight, said the President of Spanish cigar supplier, Buenaventura Jimenez Sanchez-Canete.There was a 500 dollar-per-plate price tag for the event at which seventy countries were represented. The cigar or tobacco in the general sense is an important product for the Cuban economy but more importantly it is a symbol of what it represents, said the President of Cuban Habano, Jose Luis Fernandez Maique. I think the best Cuban Ambassador is the cigar.
