Sugar price likely to increase by Rs 4 maintaining per Kg at Rs 64
Utility stores are awaiting notification by the government
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Sugar price in retail is likely to rise by Rs 4 across the country, Dunya News reported Saturday.
Sources said that sugar price is likely to hit Rs 64 per Kilogram (kg). Owners of different utility stores have said that they have not received any notification from the government side until the filing of this report.
However, they are awaiting the official announcement which is likely to be made soon.
It should be mentioned here that crushing of sugar cane crop is underway in sugar mills across the country. Experts have stated that they are expecting 50 lac tonne sugar production in this season.
