Petrol prices rise by Rs.2.5, high speed diesel by Rs.1.75
Deadline for tax returns is being increased by one month: Ishaq dar
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal finance minister Ishaq Dar announced on Saturday that petrol prices have been increased by 2.5 rupees. Ishaq Dar was addressing a press conference in Islamabad. The finance Minister also announced that the deadline for tax returns is being increased by one month, reported Dunya news.
According to Ishaq Dar, Oil and gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) sent the summary to increase petrol prices by Rs.5.82 but Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif directed the ministry to increase the rate only by 2.5 rupees for petrol and 1.75 rupees for high speed diesel.
On the other hand, the prices of kerosene oil, high octane and light diesel will remain unchanged, though OGRA had suggested increasing the prices of these commodities as well. Ishaq Dar said that PM ordered to not change the prices because of approaching winters, so the rates of the products will not be increased during the month of November.
