FPCCI has appreciated the decision of ban on export of live animals.

ISLAMABAD (Online) - President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Zubair Ahmed Malik, appreciated the decision of the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet to put ban on the export of live animals with effect from October 1, 2013.

In a statement released here on Wednesday the FPCCI president said that this ban had been longstanding demand of the Pakistan Tanners Association and FPCCI had fully supported this demand in the best interest of the country.

He said that by putting this ban on the export of live animals, not only the tanneries will get raw material, but it will also ease the availability of meat, milk and other by-products from livestock such as hides, bones, blood and tallow to many downstream industries.
