Oil refineries production down by 6.4 percent in Pakistan
A trend of decrease in the oil refineries production was witnessed during current year and a decrease of 6.4 percent was recorded in petroleum products across the country. According to the sources in Ministry of Petroleum, the oil production by the local refineries remained 6,590,000 tons while last year during the same time period the production was 7,000,000 tons. The furnace oil production by the local oil refineries during last nine months remained 2,240,000 tons with a decline of 7.7 percent. The production of high speed oil also went down. The local refineries imported crude oil for the preparation of petroleum products.
