Karachi stocks remain mixed amid lack of interest

Lack of interest trimmed values of leading scripts at Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) Monday as 100-Index lost 3.94 points to close at 7716.99, dealers said. The turnover volume was low at 127.459 million shares as prices of 163 scripts recorded gains while 215 sustained losses and 17 remained unchanged. A dealer at a leading brokerage house said that the market was high in the morning for a short time on bullish activity, but plunged on panic selling. However, some buying at the end of closing of trade slightly improved the market. The market capitalization eroded by about Rs 1.02 billion to Rs 2.277 trillion.
