KP bans 500,000 SIMs obtained on bogus ID cards

About 500,000 SIMs obtained by bogus identity cards will be cancelled in KPK and tribal areas.

According to PTA and provincial Minister scrutiny of connections issued by different cellular companies has been initiated.During just one year more than 300,000 connections were terminated in KPK and 200,000 in tribal areas.In this regard, emerging terrorism threat from KPK government has banned the use of unregistered mob SIMs and concerned department has been notified.District government Peshawar has enforce section 144 in the city. According to informed source in PTA, more than 40 Lakh SIMs obtained on fake identity cards were blocked last year.
