Summary Millions of Hajj pilgrims gathered at Muzdalifah overnight, collecting pebbles for Rami Al-Jamarat as Saudi authorities ensured smooth transport, safety and services.

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Millions of pilgrims arriving at Muzdalifah from Arafat began collecting pebbles overnight for the ritual of Rami Al-Jamarat to be performed at Mina on the first day of Eid Al-Adha during Hajj 1447 AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), pilgrims spent the night at Muzdalifah in prayers, remembrance of Allah and recitation of the Holy Quran in a peaceful spiritual atmosphere following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Pilgrims were seen collecting small pebbles that would later be used for the symbolic stoning of Jamrat Al-Aqaba after their departure to Mina at dawn.

SPA told APP that pedestrian movement and pilgrim flow remained smooth throughout Muzdalifah under comprehensive operational and crowd-management arrangements implemented by Saudi authorities.

Authorities said healthcare, emergency, transport and field guidance services continued across Muzdalifah to facilitate pilgrims and ensure their comfort and safety during movement between the holy sites.

The government and service agencies remained fully active overnight with cleaning operations, transport management and emergency response teams deployed across the area to support pilgrims during one of the key stages of Hajj.
