TEHRAN: (Dunya News) - Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, has stated that Pakistan is playing the role of a mediator in ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States.
He said that while several countries are willing to assist in facilitating dialogue, Pakistan currently holds the position of a formal intermediary between the two sides.
Baghaei added that if a decision is made to formally hold negotiations, an official announcement will be issued accordingly.
The spokesperson also noted that Iran maintains a strategic partnership agreement with Russia, under which cooperation continues in political, security, and economic sectors.
He further stated that Iran remains in contact with multiple countries amid the current situation and is actively conveying its stance on key regional developments.
