Sacrilege: OIC summons urgent meeting
BRUSELLS (Dunya News) - The European Union joined numerous Muslim countries in denouncing the most recent incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden on Saturday.
The burning of the Holy Quran or any other sacred book, according to the EU's censure announced today, is "offensive, disrespectful, and a clear act of provocation."
"Manifestations of racism, xenophobia, and related intolerance have no place in Europe," said Nabila Massrali, the spokesman for the EU's foreign affairs and security policy.
